◆Purpose:口腔と全身の健康との関連を示すエビデンスは、2000年以降、基礎研究、臨床研究、疫学研究の分野で蓄積され、健康寿命延伸と健康格差縮小を目指す健康政策に歯科口腔保健が位置づけられるようになってきた．特にビッグデータに基づく横断研究と多数例を対象としたコホート研究から得られるエビデンスは、わが国の研究者から多くの成果が報告され、この分野における世界の研究展開に貢献をしてきている．しかも超高齢社会の中でUHC(ユニバーサル・ヘルス・カバレッジ)を達成している日本の健康政策に対する世界の関心は高い．
日本国内においても、歯科口腔保健の向上とエビデンスに基づく医科歯科連携が社会保障制度の安定に寄与するという政策決定者からの期待が大きい．しかしながら、観察研究の結果からは、口腔と全身の関連を示すことができても因果関係の同定にはいたらないことが、健康政策の評価を行う上で課題の一つとなっている．
そこで、今回のコロキウムでは、口腔と全身の健康について、過去・現在そして未来に向けた課題について整理し、口腔と全身の健康との関係を示すエビデンス、それを踏まえた医科歯科連携という実践、そして健康寿命の延伸を目指した政策における歯科口腔保健の位置づけという3つの観点を踏まえた議論を行う．[Read]
